Welcome to Greensborough
Greensborough is in the north east section of Markham, Ontario. The community is situated just north of Markham Village (a heritage district along Main St. Markham), west of Cornell, and east of Wismer. It includes the area north of 16th Avenue, west of Ninth Line, south of Major MacKenzie Drive and east of Markham Road. Greensborough, once farm land is now a thriving community based on a Smart Growth model which involves both low and medium density residential development along with low-density commercial and considerable park space scattered throughout. The completion of the Donald Cousens Pkwy provides quick access to Hwy 407 for residents. Also located in Greensborough is Swan Lake Village, a 24-hour gated Adult Lifestyle community that overlooks lovely Swan Lake. Swan Lake Village sits on 15 acres of beautiful land with nature trails and lots of wildlife. Various housing types exist here and the amenities include 4 pools, 3 clubhouses, 4 tennis courts, and plenty of organized events. To live in Swan Lake, you must be 55 years or older and there's a limit of two dwellers per home. Adjacent to the townhomes is a rental retirement residence built and run by Amica. It also backs onto Swan Lake. If you'd like to see our Greensborough Real Estate Listings or learn more about this area, we'd be happy to show you around.
