Packing For Your Move

You found your home.  The contract has been signed and the closing date set.  Now it’s time to move.

First-time and even repeat buyers are often surprised by the variety of expenses associated with moving, including everything from packing materials and utility connections to the actual cost of the movers, or truck rental.

 

You can eliminate or at least reduce many of the surprises and hassles of moving by investigating moving companies, estimating moving costs, and using the enclosed packing and moving checklist. 

 

Whether you’re a serious organizer or a casual planner, this week-to week moving checklist will definitely help you map out a strategy for a stress-free move from beginning to end.  Keep this checklist handy to help you before, during and after your move.

 

One word of advice…Start packing early!  Over time, many of us accumulate many things.  Assess your possessions and get rid of what you don’t need.  The less you move, the less it costs.
